DAY 2 - Rough Copper Drops
$55.00
These earrings were made as part of a creative challenge to make a new piece of jewelry everyday for 100 days. These were made on day 2 of the challenge. In making these I explored leaving rough patches of firescale on the drops before kiln-firing them with a clear enamel that allows the partially scratched up texture and copper to shine through. The backsides remind me of the countries on a globe, and are finished in the same style as the front, but fired a bit longer so they look darker. The earrings are completed with sterling silver ear wires.
LENGTH - 2" (3/4" ear wire + 1 1/4 enameled drop)
