This large necklace features a feathered wave pattern with a hint of blue, making a bold statement. They were made using the sgraffito technique, where the line pattern was scratched through to expose the enamel below.

The design for the necklace was sketched out and then the shapes were hand-cut out of copper. Then the first layer of dark gray enamel is applied and kiln fired. Next a layer of liquid white enamel and blue powdered enamel is applied to the surface, then the lined pattern was scratched out exposing the gray enamel beneath. Then they were kiln-fired another time at a toasty 1500°. The backs are enameled in dark gray. Completed with oxidized sterling silver jump rings, chain and clasp.
