These tiny enamel studs feature an alternating lined pattern in black and white. The pattern comes from a photo I took of an Ahinahina or Silversword plant in Maui at the took of the volcano Haleakala. The plant was one of the only thing growing and it’s silver color and texture were quite striking.

These earrings begin as copper that is electro-etched from a photo, creating texture in the copper. The shape for these earrings is hand-cut and then enameled in black powdered glass enamel and kiln-fired. It is then enameled another time with white enamel in the recesses. Finished with black enamel on the reverse and sterling silver post and backs.
