This triangle necklace features a textured line pattern in black and white. The pattern comes from a photo of an Ahinahina or Silversword plant in Maui taken on a hike on the volcano Haleakala. The plant was one of the only plants that grows in such a desolate setting and it’s silver color and texture were quite striking.

This necklace begins as copper that is electro-etched from a photo, creating texture in the copper. The shape for this necklace is hand-cut and then enameled in black powdered glass enamel and kiln-fired. It is then enameled another time with white enamel in the recesses. Finished with black enamel on the reverse and with an ? oxidized sterling silver chain.
